A café that grew into a school.

Hillside Beans opened in Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur as a small café — a place for good coffee and good conversation. As regulars kept asking how we made their favorite drinks, that curiosity turned into our barista training program.

Beyond teaching, we mentor.

Every class runs on the same machines our café uses every day. Students learn the pressure of a real morning rush, not a simulated one — and our trainers are the same people pulling shots for customers each morning.

We measure success by where our graduates end up: behind bars across Bhaktapur and Kathmandu, running their own cafés, or staying on right here with us.
